The exterior of this gilded silver and shaded cloisonné enamel Easter egg is decorated with figures of cherubim rendered in intense pastel colors against a stippled gilt ground. It opens to reveal icons of St. Mary Magdalene with the first Easter egg and the Guardian Angel.
